Steps to launch

GemX is installed directly rather than through the App Store, so macOS asks you to confirm the first launch. Here's exactly what to expect, screenshotted step by step.

  1. Finder window showing the downloaded GemX .dmg file inside the Downloads folder
    01

    Download the .dmg

The download starts as soon as you click Download for Mac. If it didn't, click the download button above. GemX-AI-Chatbot-Assistant.dmg (about 21 MB) will land in your Mac's Downloads folder.

  2. GemX installer window prompting you to drag the app icon into the Applications folder
    02

    Install GemX

Open Finder, go to Downloads, and double-click the .dmg to open it. Drag the GemX icon onto the Applications folder to install it.

  3. macOS Gatekeeper dialog saying GemX - AI Chatbot Assistant was not opened because Apple could not verify it
    03

    Open GemX from Applications

Since GemX is downloaded directly rather than through the App Store, macOS blocks the very first launch and shows this message. That's expected — click Done to dismiss it.

  4. System Settings Privacy and Security pane showing an Open Anyway button next to a message that GemX was blocked
    04

    Allow it in System Settings

Open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll to the Security section, and click Open Anyway next to GemX. Confirm once with your password or Touch ID — after that, GemX opens normally every time.
